In 2026, the 53rd edition of the Interpretation Courses will take place, marking the twenty-first time they are held in Litomyšl. These are eleven-day interpretation courses and a chamber music workshop for both individuals and chamber ensembles.

The Interpretation Courses in Litomyšl are open to all future professional and amateur musicians, primarily students of conservatories, music high schools, and universities, as well as talented students of elementary art schools (ZUŠ) and their teachers.

As every year, we organize interpretation courses based on individual instruction. This year, we are opening five instrumental classes: violin, viola, cello, double bass and piano.. Optional disciplines include participation in a chamber string orchestra and chamber music.

In addition, we are once again preparing interesting evening concerts not only by lecturers, but also by distinguished guests and internationally renowned performers, along with a varied program of other activities.

The event will also feature a piano masterclass by Professor Ivan Klánský from HAMU in Prague. The date will be specified later.

Our beloved and long-time flute instructor Magdalena Bílková Tůmová has decided to end her teaching career after many years of working on our courses for personal reasons. We greatly appreciate everything she has done for the courses and wish her all the best in the next stage of her life.

There has been a change in the position of orchestra conductor for this year’s courses. After many years of dedicated work and unforgettable musical experiences, Mr. Bohouš Mimra is handing over the baton. For a long time, Bohouš was not only the conductor of our orchestra, but also its soul, inspiration, and above all, a good friend. We greatly appreciate everything he has done for the courses and thank him for the energy, time, and heart he has devoted to the orchestra. It is not easy for us or for him to close this chapter. This year, the baton will be taken over by Mr. Michael Housa, a student at the Department of Conducting at HAMU in Prague. We believe that he will bring new energy and fresh impetus to his work with the orchestra and that he will build on all the good things that have been achieved here over many years.

Participants can take part in creative workshops and a rich accompanying program. Additionally, we are once again preparing exciting evening concerts, not only featuring our faculty but also special guests and internationally acclaimed performers, along with a diverse cultural program.
